Description Robert Half is currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team for a short-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Other projects as necessary
Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations Requirements - Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
A level of proficiency in financial reporting is preferential to this role
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Experience with ERP systems
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
Strong familiarity with AIA Billing
Microsoft Excel experience preferred
Expertise in Construction Accounting
Sage Timberline experience
