Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required Requirements - Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Efficient in ERP systems
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
High attention to detail
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Account reconciliation experience
Foundational knowledge in variance analysis
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
