Description

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be integral to our finance department, handling Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations, sales and tax filings, and customer and vendor account set up. You will also participate in monthly closing processes, prepare and analyze balance sheets, and implement process improvements to maintain our high standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tasks such as customer billings, vendor invoice processing, and cash flow analysis.

• Contribute to the setup and review of service calls and job cost projects.

• Handle the preparation and review of monthly sales and use tax filings.

• Facilitate the setup of new customers and vendors, ensuring complete and accurate information.

• Assist with sales bookings in Salesforce and Great Plains.

• Engage in the monthly close process, producing required reports, and creating journal entries to support processes that meet company deadlines.

• Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Monitor the deferred maintenance revenue account monthly to ensure proper revenue recognition accounting.

• Participate in the analysis of financial reports and variance explanations.

• Ensure intercompany transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Review transactions for correct account coding and banking requirements.

• Effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and employees to resolve any arising issues.

• Assist in conducting financial, tax, and compliance audits.

• Implement process improvements and accounting solutions to enhance the company’s standard of excellence.

Requirements • Proven experience in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Extensive knowledge of General Ledger management

• Ability to manage and record Journal Entries

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close processes

• Familiarity with NetSuite software

• Working knowledge of Oracle systems

• Previous experience with SAP software
