Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the machinery manufacturing industry for a Sr. Accountant in Dallas, Texas. The role involves ensuring the seamless operation of our financial department by managing account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The successful candidate will be proficient in a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation activities, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date
• Prepare and post journal entries, providing detailed notes and explanations when necessary
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Conduct month-end close activities in a timely and efficient manner
• Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks and functions
• Continuously improve knowledge and skills in Epicor, staying updated on the latest features and best practices
• Collaborate with other members of the finance team to streamline processes and improve productivity
• Handle other accounting duties and projects as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Month End Close.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Epicor.
• Previous experience in a Senior Accountant role in the Machinery Manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Relevant detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
