Description Do you have an accounting background and a desire to join a Energy/Natural Resources firm? Robert Half Finance could have the Senior Accountant role for you! This role handles financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position requires top-notch analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This Senior Accountant role is located in Dallas, Texas within the Energy/Natural Resources field. The company boasts excellent compensation and benefits and offers potential for advancement.
How you will make an impact
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes Requirements - High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Efficient in ERP systems
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Able to manage time well
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
