Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the construction/contractor industry in Dallas, Texas. The chosen candidate will be involved in various accounting tasks, including financial reporting, account reconciliation, and transaction management. This role will be based in our office and the successful candidate will have the chance to contribute significantly to our team.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in catching up with the transactions for 2024
• Handle the preparation and presentation of financial reports
• Undertake bank and credit card reconciliations
• Conduct reclasses before finalizing financials
• Manage a single bank account and one entity
• Perform all financial reporting tasks using QuickBooks and transform them into an Excel format for presentation
• Leverage skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. Requirements • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in the construction or contractor industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced knowledge and experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Demonstrated ability to handle journal entries and month-end close processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) would be considered an asset.
