Robert Half Sr. Accountant in DALLAS, Texas

As a Senior Accountant, you will be tasked with financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. You will need first-rate analytical skills to successfully fill this role. This position is full time with excellent compensation and benefits, as well as the chance to grow.
Major responsibilities
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Requirements - Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Microsoft Excel experience desired
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to meet deadlines
