Description Robert Half has an opening for an experienced, driven Senior Accountant to provide leadership and know-how to a growing team. This is a permanent opportunity in the DALLAS, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every single day
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. Requirements - Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Nonprofit Organizations experience preferred
Bank reconciliations experience
Solid understanding of journal entries
Strong familiarity with month end closings
Command of US GAAP
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Skilled with ERP systems
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
