Description There's a career-building opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join an innovative CPA Firm - Other company in a permanent role in the Dallas, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Located in Dallas, Texas, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the CPA Firm - Other field.
Major responsibilities
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
Able to manage time well
Vow to meet business deadlines
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Efficient in ERP systems
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Microsoft Excel experience
