Job Duties

The Investment Firm has a Financial Analyst opportunity for an individual to join its Investor Relations team. The Investor Relations team manages all aspects of raising capital and servicing the firm’s investors.

The individual in this position will assist in the servicing of client relations for funds created and managed by the Investment Firm. This individual will be responsible for supporting the client service and fundraising activities of the business while ensuring the highest level of satisfaction among its current and potential investors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Provide timely and accurate responses to ad hoc and standard requests from investors and their representatives.

Analyze and interpret equity compensation related data and effectively communicate results to investors and their representatives.

Assist in managing communications between current investors and various personnel.

Identify and implement process improvements within Investor Relations in order to stream-line reporting and “free-up” the team to address issues of a more critical nature.

Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the organization and private equity industry, in general.

Support various marketing and fundraising initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

1-3+ years professional experience

Strong communication skills, written and verbal

Strong technical accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint (Microsoft Office Suite)

Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage time

Preferred Qualifications

CPA or CPA candidate

Big 4 Public Accounting

Experience in Partnership accounting, investment company accounting, and/or real estate accounting

Knowledge of equity accounting and/or cost accounting methods

Knowledge of accounting for foreign currency investments in US dollars

Requirements - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Prior work done in public accounting is desired

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

  • Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Expertise in fund accounting

  • Foundational knowledge in CPA

  • Strong familiarity with University Degree

  • Proven knowledge of investment banking

  • Solid understanding of analysis

  • CPA Firm experience highly desired

  • Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Skilled at time management
