Description
There's currently an opening for a permanent Senior Accountant to bring their knowledge and expertise to a growing company in the Service industry in the Dallas, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers a great long-term growth potential, including a strong compensation and benefits package for the candidate. We are looking for a candidate that possess excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support the successful growth of the firm. This Senior Accountant role is located in Dallas, Texas.
Key responsibilities
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Experience with ERP systems
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Able to manage time well
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
