Robert Half Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Restaurant industry based in Dallas, Texas, United States. We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our client's team. This role will entail maintaining financial records and reports, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.

• Analyze financial information to prepare and book journal entries to the general ledger.

• Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts.

• Prepare or assist in the preparation of schedules to be provided to lenders, investors, and auditors.

• Perform account research and analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes.

• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting control procedures.

• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.

• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for completeness and accuracy.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, internal control procedures, and company policies.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of relevant experience as a Staff Accountant

• Proficiency in general ledger and journal entries management

• Skills in balance sheet reconciliation and balance sheet account reconciliation

• Experience in preparing audit schedules

• Capable of conducting ledger account analysis

• Familiarity with standard policies and procedures in accounting

• Knowledge and application of US GAAP in accounting practices

• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines

• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Professional integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
