Robert Half Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our accounting operations, handling a variety of tasks related to our financial processes. This role operates within the oil & gas industry and offers a chance to contribute to a growing company.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for supporting the month-end closing process
• Handling the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations of relevant balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Tasked with preparing inter-company billings, transactions, and reconciliations
• Engaged in maintaining and reconciling journal entries periodically
• Involved in the preparation of reconciliation and depreciation schedules
• Accountable for supporting a variety of business-wide initiatives
• Undertaking ad-hoc reporting and special projects as requested
• Conducting audits - both financial and operational
• Responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable
• Tasked with executing bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger
• Utilizing QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
• Handling billing procedures and operations. Requirements
• Highly preferred completed Bachelors degree in Accounting but will consider Finance or Similar
• Active CPA preferred or CPA Candidate that is actively testing
• Candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary.
• Candidate should have a thorough understanding of General Ledger management.
• Ability to prepare Journal Entries is essential.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures is required.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software is necessary.
• Experience in Financial Audit is essential.
• Candidate should have a background in conducting both Audit and Operational Audit.
• Experience in External Audit is a plus.
• Candidate should have a good understanding of Billing procedures.
