Robert Half Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas

Description We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant to be a part of our finance department in Dallas, Texas. The role primarily involves working on Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliations, Journal Entries, and Month End Close using QuickBooks. This is a short term contract employment opportunity where your skills in accounting will be crucial to our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounts payable activities, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to monitor financial transactions and ensure financial integrity.

• Prepare journal entries for various accounting transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

• Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financials are finalized and reported promptly.

• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and organize financial data effectively, ensuring easy retrieval and reference.

• Collaborate with other team members to support overall department goals and objectives.

• Ensure compliance with all internal processes and policies in all accounting operations.

• Conduct regular reviews of financial data and prepare regular reports for management.

• Assist in improving financial procedures and processes to enhance efficiency.

• Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks as required by the department. Requirements • Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close processes

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Understanding of accounting principles and regulations

• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
