Robert Half Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas. The role involves updating and maintaining financial records, assisting in financial planning, preparing financial statements and reports, and conducting financial analysis. This role is in the industry of accounting and finance.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update financial schedules, including Lot Purchase and Land Development Budget schedules • Assist in planning for financial needs such as Lot and Interim Financing • Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports on various scenarios concerning current and future land opportunities • Prepare and update financial statements including income statements and balance sheets for each entity • Review profit margins and overhead expenses to identify errors or opportunities for improvement • Assist with routine financial reporting and ensure compatibility of profit projections and business plans • Prepare cash flow and financial projections • Demonstrate initiative in assisting in the completion of other department or company objectives • Strive for continual improvement in personal and technical skills • Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger, and journal entries • Assist with month-end close processes and use various software including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations • Ability to manage and maintain the General Ledger • Proficiency in creating and maintaining Journal Entries • Experience in handling Month End Close activities • Proficiency in using NetSuite for financial functions • Experience in using Oracle for accounting purposes • Proficiency in QuickBooks for financial management • Experience in using SAP for financial operations and reporting • Excellent communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices • Familiarity with financial reporting • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
