This role requires a CPA with strong exposure to complex, multi-tiered investment partnerships…as well as corporate taxation. Position Summary: The Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Tax for a group of private equity type investments. The Tax Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of tax compliance for all entities as well as all privately held entities of the senior executives. The Tax Manager will be responsible for tax research and strategy, along with the VP of Tax, relating to the CEO’s privately help interests. The ideal candidate is a highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated person who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines.

Essential Functions - Assist in interpretation and communication of tax implications of current and future tax structures Oversee the gathering and delivering financial statements to compliance preparing teams Guide and review federal, state, local, and international tax returns prepared by the compliance team Responsible for answering tax related inquiries from the compliance team(s) Mentors and manages associates in the tax department, assisting them with goal setting, reviewing and discussing career path adjustments, and establishing and enforcing accountability mechanisms. Analyzes problems, designs, and implements solutions that accomplish the related objectives and ensures compliance. Work closely with other members of the tax group to ensure financial/tax strategy is implemented, goals are reached, and deadlines are met.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Clear communicator with ability to interact with senior leaders Superior organizational skills A experienced detail oriented with excellent judgment, interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Ability to analyze strategic impact of job-related purchases amongst inter-related business Qualifications - Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related discipline 8-15+ years of experience in public accounting or family office tax role with a focus on partnerships, trusts, personal, and charitable tax planning and compliance Experience in researching and communicating tax related implications of all financing opportunities and requirements
