Robert Half Tax Senior in Dallas, Texas
Description We are looking for a Tax Staff - Public to join our team in DALLAS, Texas. The primary function of this role is to handle various tax-related tasks in a well-organized and detail-oriented manner. The position is based in the public sector and includes responsibilities such as processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications
• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly
• Address and resolve customer credit inquiries promptly
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
• Utilize various software such as CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Gosystem, and Microsoft Excel to perform accounting functions
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and standards
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions
• Perform auditing tasks as needed
• Manage cash activity effectively
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Proficiency in tax software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax
• Familiarity with Gosystem and Management System software
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in performing Accounting Functions and Auditing
• Ability to handle Cash Activity and ensure Compliance with financial regulations
• Strong Customer Service skills and ability to interact professionally with clients
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA or EA certification is a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other departments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
