Robert Half Tax Staff in DALLAS, Texas
Description Our reputable client is seeking a Tax Accountant to join the company. The Tax Accountant will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. This is the role for a deadline driven Tax Accountant with excellent attention to detail and organization.
Responsibilities
Recommend ways to improve profits and identify legal tax savings
Maintain the company's tax database and prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports
Create tax solutions to incorrect tax fillings or complicated tax issues
Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
Accurately assemble annual and quarterly tax reports
Ensure client compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations
Participate in educational opportunities, detail oriented organizations, networks, and read detail oriented publications in order to stay up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends
Manage outsourced tax preparation work Requirements - Problem-solving and creative thinking skills
Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
2+ years of public or corporate tax
Exceptional time management skills preferred
CPA highly preferred
Demonstrated organizational skills
