Robert Half Staff Accountant in Dana Point, California

Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant in the Asset Management industry to join our team in Dana Point, California. The role will involve a range of responsibilities related to accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices and preparing expense reports

• Manage accounts receivable duties, such as maintaining accurate customer credit records and processing credit applications

• Assist in bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data is correct

• Maintain the general ledger by preparing journal entries and conducting month-end close procedures

• Utilize various accounting software tools, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Act as a backup for check cutting operations when required

• Utilize your experience in the real estate or construction industry to better understand and process industry-specific transactions

• Ensure all financial records and reports are compliant with industry standards and regulations

• Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline accounting procedures

• Resolve customer credit inquiries and monitor customer credit accounts, taking appropriate action for delinquent payments. Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Proven experience in the asset management industry is required

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrated experience in Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Must have experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
