Robert Half System Engineer in Danbury, Connecticut

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Systems Engineer in Danbury, Connecticut. This role is focused on providing excellent customer service, managing technical and operational tasks, and working within complex customer environments. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, involved in various aspects of network troubleshooting, workstation management, and IT procedure implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide superior customer service to our customer base

• Adhere to operational procedures and best practices

• Manage the status of open tickets/projects, ensuring efficient and accurate completion

• Act as an escalation point for other engineers

• Troubleshoot issues on a variety of information systems and network devices

• Update, manage and troubleshoot workstation device connectivity and printer issues

• Work within Active Directory to manage user accounts as part of onboarding/offboarding processes

• Implement appropriate IT procedures, configure software, and administer O365 functions across multiple platforms

• Conduct network troubleshooting, network traffic analysis and debugging

• Manage Anti-Spam Policies and conduct virus scanning using approved software

• Support solutions such as email, storage, backups, monitoring and productivity suites

• Account for time by function and by the customer with a high level of accuracy

• Partner with internal service owners and teams to evaluate technical solutions, provide recommendations, plan, and execute the services.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Systems Engineering role.

• Proficient in Cisco Technologies, Dell Technologies, and SonicWall.

• Strong knowledge of Database Management Systems.

• Proficient in Active Directory administration and user management.

• Experience with Backup Technologies and Computer Hardware.

• Familiarity with Configuration Management best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

• Certifications in relevant technologies will be considered a plus.
