Description We are in search of an Estimator to join our team in the service industry at our Dania Beach, Florida location. In this role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating bid specifications, estimating costs, and ensuring project deliverables are met. You will also be responsible for managing subcontractor relationships and maintaining effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal departments.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate bid specifications and drawings for mechanical systems, and perform accurate takeoffs.

• Estimate costs associated with various projects, taking into account different mechanical systems.

• Undertake the transfer of bid documents and subcontractor buyout information to the Project Management team.

• Maintain the status of plan reproduction and follow up proactively with subcontractors and vendors.

• Prepare subcontractor bid packages and ensure adequate subcontractor coverage on bid day.

• Communicate project schedules and addendums with subcontractors, and submit all bids and budgets by the deadline.

• Enter relevant information into estimating software and review bid requirements thoroughly.

• Perform comprehensive bid day analysis, scope specific trades, and create and maintain bid lists.

• Collaborate with the Project Management team to review drawings and job costs, and identify concerns and pending awards.

• Provide subcontractors with essential project details, and represent the company at networking events.

• Maintain effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal departments. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally as an Estimator within the Service industry.

• Proven knowledge and experience with Buying Processes.

• Familiarity with Construction Estimating is a must.

• Prior experience as a Construction Estimator is highly desirable.

• Ability to prepare and manage Project Estimates accurately.

• Proven experience in preparing Cost Estimates.

• Experience in managing and maintaining Bid Lists is essential.

• Experience in handling Subcontractor Bids efficiently.

• Knowledge and understanding of Subcontract Agreements is a must.
