Robert Half Collections Specialist in Dania, Florida
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry, based in Dania, Florida. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring the timely collection of invoice payments and handling requests related to credit and collections.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct collection calls, send emails and statements to assigned customer accounts
• Utilize Excel to analyze Accounts Receivable aging to manage credit risk
• Negotiate and monitor payment plans with delinquent customers
• Provide backup for cash applications, credits and adjustments
• Handle high volume of transactions efficiently
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills while dealing with customer inquiries
• Utilize various software systems including Accounting Software Systems, Accurint, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Epic Software for various tasks
• Perform various Accounts Receivable (AR) related tasks and answer inbound calls
• Carry out billing functions and claim administration
• Follow established collection processes Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Accurint
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Proficient in using CRM software
• Knowledge of Epic Software
• Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) process
• Comfortable with Answering Inbound Calls
• Experience in Billing Functions
• Familiarity with Claim Administration
• Knowledge of Collection Processes
• Previous experience in a Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry is a plus
• Collections Specialist experience is desirable
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
