Robert Half Accounts Receivable Analyst in Danville, California
Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Analyst in the Manufacturing industry. This role is based in Danville, California and will involve detailed analysis and management of accounts receivable functions. As an integral part of our team, you will be expected to review customer and company documents, monitor daily reports, perform accounting research, and assist in the implementation of new revenue standards.
Responsibilities:
• Reviewing customer and company documents to ensure consistent treatment for revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and US GAAP.
• Preparing and monitoring daily reports to review and execute revenue-related deals. This includes deal structuring and identifying provisions that may have an impact on our revenue recognition.
• Overseeing daily accounts receivable activities to ensure timely revenue recognition.
• Performing ad hoc accounting research to assess the accounting impact related to sales transactions.
• Ensuring timely execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Assisting in the implementation of new revenue standards.
• Acting as a revenue policy point of contact and relaying information to others.
• Preparing audit schedules, providing analysis, and working with external auditors as needed.
• Working on ad hoc projects that range from process improvement, automation, and data analysis to present to management.
• Training others in revenue control policies and collaborating with others regarding revenue system evaluations and improvements.
• Assisting with special projects as required.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is required
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
• Familiarity with Billing Functions is a must
• Knowledge of ASC 606 is required
• Experience with SAP is preferred
