Position Summary:

As the AVP of Operations for our client, you will be a key player in overseeing and optimizing the daily operations to ensure efficiency and compliance within the dynamic insurance industry. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead a team dedicated to enhancing processes, improving customer experiences, and driving overall operational/business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance within the insurance sector.

  • Provide leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee and optimize insurance claims processing, policy administration, and other key operational functions.

  • Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of operational goals with overall business objectives.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to insurance operations, such as claims processing times, customer satisfaction metrics, and compliance measures.

  • Implement and maintain best practices in insurance operations, including risk management and regulatory compliance.

  • Identify opportunities for technological advancements and automation to enhance efficiency in insurance processes.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including updates to insurance laws and policies.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry partners.

  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning within the insurance operations team.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within the insurance industry, with a minimum of [5-10] years of experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of insurance operations, claims processing, and policy administration.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions in an insurance context.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvement initiatives and implementing operational best practices within the insurance sector.

  • Experience in project management, change management, and strategic planning within an insurance setting.

  • Knowledge of relevant insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
