Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Davenport, Iowa


We are hiring for a Payroll Specialist who is confident to hit the ground running in an engagement with our client, an established, national firm in the insurance industry, who is navigating change as they grow. As a Payroll Specialist, you will provide support to and maintain day to day payroll functions.

Specific responsibilities could shape around your strengths and abilities likely to include:

Maintain and review payroll to ensure timely and accurate bi-weekly processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

Maintain timekeeping system - input and process PTO adjustments

Prepare and distribute various payroll related data reports

Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues

Additionally, you may lend support to activities such as:

Assist with company-wide benefit enrollment and administration

Respond and resolve employee issues or questions regarding benefits and payroll

Process special payments in accordance with company programs

Maintain employee records and process employee changes – terminations, disability/workers' comp, FMLA, etc
