Job Title: Printer Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Printer Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing printer and copier issues, performing routine maintenance, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, be extremely detail-oriented, and have top-notch communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various models of printers and copiers.
Perform routine maintenance on printers and copiers, including cleaning, replacing parts, and updating software.
Respond to customer complaints and inquiries, providing excellent and prompt customer service.
Install and setup new printers and copiers, ensuring they are fully operational and integrated into the existing network.
Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies to ensure that necessary replacements are always readily available.
Provide support and education to end users on printer functionality and troubleshooting.
Stay up-to-date on the latest printer and copier technology, as well as potential issues or recalls.
Document service and repairs performed, maintaining organized records for future reference.
Work closely with other IT professionals to ensure seamless hardware and software integration.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to stand for long periods, walk, sit, use hands to operate equipment, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate.
Requirements
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of experience in technical support/printer maintenance or a similar role.
Extensive knowledge of different models of printers and copiers, as well as their working principles.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Excellent customer service skills, with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
Solid understanding of networking and hardware/software integration.
Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy pieces of equipment.
Able to pass a background check and drug test.
Technical certifications related to printers/copiers (e.g., CompTIA PDI+, etc.) are favorable.
