Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Davis, California

Description

Robert Half is seeking and Accounts Receivable Clerk for our client. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization by managing the accounts receivable processes efficiently. Your responsibilities will include processing incoming payments, monitoring customer accounts for overdue payments, and communicating with customers to resolve any outstanding issues. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming payments accurately and efficiently.

  • Familiar with payer portals to collect payments.

  • Reconcile payments received with invoices and update customer accounts accordingly.

  • Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up with customers to ensure timely payment.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to payments.

  • Generate and distribute invoices to customers in a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions.

  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on accounts receivable status.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to address customer inquiries and resolve issues.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.

  • Stay updated on relevant accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience working in accounts receivable or a similar role.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Experience with customer service and resolving customer issues is a plus.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks is advantageous.
