Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. In this role, you will be handling high volume accounts payable tasks, ensuring accurate record keeping, and liaising with vendors as needed. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and will require a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Processing a large volume of invoices on a monthly basis

• Ensuring invoices are correctly coded and recorded in NetSuite

• Reviewing vendor statements and comparing them with system records

• Reaching out to vendors to obtain missing information, demonstrating good customer service abilities

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting any discrepancies or issues that arise

• Taking the initiative to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner

• Utilizing various accounting software systems to perform accounting functions

• Managing accounts payable functions, including 3 Way Matching and data entry tasks

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various tasks and record keeping

• Scanning and attaching invoices to records for easy reference

• Maintaining accurate financial records at all times. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

• Proficient in account coding and accounting software systems

• Knowledge of accounting functions and accounts payable (AP)

• Experience with NetSuite software

• Ability to code invoices accurately and efficiently

• Experience in handling purchase orders and performing 3-way matching

• Proficient in data entry tasks

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in document scanning and maintaining financial records

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related work experience.
