Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Dayton, Ohio
Description
We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located in Dayton, Ohio. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the industry of Accounting Software Systems. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with handling vendor invoices, maintaining monthly accruals, and managing multiple email inboxes.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the entry of vendor invoices to ensure all payments are dispatched electronically
• Manage monthly accruals and perform reconciliations
• Conduct journal entries and process approximately 50 invoices weekly
• Match purchase orders, primarily related to the services we purchase
• Utilize Oracle, NetSuite, or any other ERP for multiple legal entities
• Manage two email inboxes using Google Suite and save all documents on a shared Google drive
• Provide support for audits, typically around mid-March
• Conduct month-end reconciliation of accounts payable
• Prepare month-end reports for department heads by extracting data from NetSuite and manipulating it in Excel.

Requirements • Proficient in account coding and its applications
• Demonstrable experience with accounting software systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Proficient in using Concur software
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to perform accounting functions efficiently
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures
• Knowledge of accrual accounting principles
• Experience in auditing
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) procedures
