Robert Half Transportation Planner in Daytona Beach, Florida

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated permanent Transportation Planner in Daytona Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation planning, traffic analysis, public transit, and sustainable mobility solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

-Conduct transportation planning studies, analyses, and assessments to support the development and implementation of transportation projects and policies.

-Collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, community stakeholders, and consultants to gather data, conduct research, and identify transportation needs and priorities.

-Develop transportation plans, programs, and strategies that promote sustainable, safe, and efficient transportation systems.

-Conduct traffic impact analyses, corridor studies, and multimodal transportation planning to address congestion, improve mobility, and enhance accessibility.

-Evaluate transportation infrastructure projects, including roadway design, transit facilities, bike lanes, pedestrian pathways, and parking management.

-Assist in the preparation and review of transportation grant applications, funding proposals, and project budgets.

-Engage with communities, businesses, and advocacy groups to gather input, feedback, and support for transportation initiatives and projects.

-Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to stakeholders, decision-makers, and the public.

-Stay current with transportation planning trends, best practices, technologies, and regulatory requirements.

-Support public outreach and engagement efforts, including public meetings, workshops, surveys, and social media communications.

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Public Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

-Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation planning, public administration, or related fields.

-Strong knowledge of transportation planning principles, traffic engineering concepts, and transportation policy frameworks.

-Experience with GIS, transportation modeling software, traffic simulation tools, and data analysis techniques.

-Familiarity with federal, state, and local transportation regulations, funding programs, and grant processes.

-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and project management tools.

-Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

-Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality assurance in transportation planning deliverables.

-Passion for sustainable transportation, equity, accessibility, and community engagement.
