Robert Half Financial Data Analyst in Decatur, Georgia

Description We are inviting applications for the role of Financial Data Analyst based in Decatur, Georgia. In the utilities and infrastructure industry, this position will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights using various analysis tools and techniques. The role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain BI and analytics solutions, focusing on transforming raw data into relevant insights for business decision-making.

• Design and implement interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and other relevant tools.

• Employ advanced data mining techniques to analyze data and display the results in easily understandable reports.

• Create and manage data models to meet business requirements in the context of BI.

• Use Power BI to run DAX queries and functions, enabling row-level data security.

• Construct and manage a data warehouse, using SQL queries for optimal results.

• Utilize filters and visualizations for enhanced data understanding and presentation.

• Troubleshoot data-related issues and maintain the Power BI infrastructure.

• Analyze and optimize current ETL (extraction, transformation, and loading) procedures to define and create new systems.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide appropriate solutions. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Financial Data Analyst in the Utilities/Infrastructure industry

• Proficiency in employing Data Mining Techniques for effective data analysis

• Solid understanding and experience in Accounting Functions and financial data interpretation

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting

• Familiarity with Dax Technologies and their application in financial data analysis

• Experience in managing and manipulating databases, with a focus on Azure SQL Database

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines

• High level of integrity and a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
