Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Decatur, Georgia. The role involves a mix of responsibilities, including technical accounting, supervisory tasks, and familiarity with Oracle software and Excel. The role is a hybrid one, involving duties related to banking, debt, and controlling cash. This role is a contract to hire employment opportunity that offers a blend of remote and in-office work, with one day a week to be spent in the office.
Responsibilities:
• Execute technical accounting tasks accurately and efficiently
• Supervise teams and processes, ensuring smooth operations
• Utilize Oracle software for various accounting functions
• Maintain proficiency in Excel for data management and analysis
• Balance banking responsibilities, including managing debt and controlling cash
• Demonstrate knowledge of cash accounting and banking procedures
• Ensure all account reconciliations are completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Prepare journal entries and ensure the general ledger is accurate
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable operations
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation. Requirements • Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to handle General Ledger tasks is essential
• Capable of making Journal Entries accurately and efficiently
• Should have skills in Account Reconciliation
• Must have experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
• Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required
• Must have a solid understanding of accounting principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software
• Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines is essential.
