Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Deerfield, Illinois. This role is essential to our manufacturing organization, aiming to centralize transactional accounting operations. The position is fully remote, yet maintains a base in Oak Creek, WI, and you will be reporting to the shared services manager and CAO.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and review invoices with attention to detail

• Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders

• Input invoice details into our ERP solutions and accounting software systems

• Process payments using various methods such as electronic, checks, and ACH

• Communicate effectively with vendors as needed

• Handle and process employee expense reports

• Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy

• Assist with month-end closing processes

• Ensure compliance with company policies

• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records

• Generate reports as required

• Suggest process improvements for the efficiency of accounting operations

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and SAP software programs for various accounting functions. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems.

• Demonstrable experience with ERP Solutions.

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of Accounting Functions.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

• Familiarity with SAP is essential.

• Proficiency in coding invoices.

• Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel.

• Proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.

• Must be detail-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills.

• Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a plus.
