Description

We are offering a contract to permanent position as an Accounts Receivable Specialist within the manufacturing industry. The role is based in the Sycamore and DeKalb area of Illinois. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be tasked with a variety of functions related to processing customer payments, maintaining customer records, and managing credit risks.

Responsibilities

• Accurately generate invoices.

• Record outstanding balances, aging reports, and customer payment histories.

• Ensure customers make timely payments of outstanding invoices.

• Use various communication channels to effectively resolve payment discrepancies or disputes with customers.

• Accurately apply incoming payments to the relevant customer accounts in the accounting system.

• Carry out full cycle Accounts Receivable tasks, including account analysis.

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers and set appropriate credit limits and terms.

• Monitor customer accounts for potential credit risks and take necessary actions to prevent losses.

• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging, collection activities, and cash flow forecasts.

• Provide management with insights and analysis regarding trends, potential bad debts, and opportunities for improvement.

• Handle month-end close journal entries and reconciliations.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Skilled in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Billing Functions

• Knowledge of Cash Applications

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivables Systems

• Experienced in Credit - Collections

• Ability to manage Credit Lines

• Skilled in analyzing Credit Reports

• Experience with Aging Accounts

• Ability to generate and interpret Aging Reports

• Proven track record of Collecting Outstanding amounts

• Experience managing Outstanding Invoices

• Ability to handle Outstanding Balances

• Experience with B2B collections

• Familiarity with Collections

• Experience in Collections - Commercial
