Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in DELRAY BEACH, Florida

Robert Half has an opening for a Full Charge Bookkeeper that might be just what you're looking for. The short-term contract / temporary to hire Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in Delray Beach, Florida. We are looking for people who can establish and maintain the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as handle all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements.

Key responsibilities

  • Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as collections

  • Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records

  • Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll

  • Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close

  • Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets

  • Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

  • Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows

  • Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management Requirements - Bookkeeping experience

  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight

  • Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports

  • High school diploma or similar accreditation, and an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended

    • Prior experience with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

  • Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments

  • Previous experience with payroll preferred

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Experienced in accrual and cash basis of accounting
