Description We are searching for a Controller to join our team in Denver, CO. The role is central to the financial operations and human resources functions of our organization, with a focus on accurate financial reporting, efficient account management, comprehensive financial analysis, and human resources support.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the financial operations and human resources functions of the organization
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, efficient accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, and comprehensive financial analysis
• Support human resources activities related to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and associate relations
• Manage and supervise invoice coding and input into financial software applications
• Review aging reports and determine payment schedules based on cash flow and vendor terms
• Oversee transactions from sales and ensure reconciliation and accuracy of entries
• Handle payroll administration, including time entry and approval, bi-monthly payroll processing, and preparation of payroll allocation reports and journal entries
• Utilize financial software applications for financial reporting
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on budget vs actuals
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial and HR processes
• Collaborate with management team in strategic planning and decision-making
• Attend leadership meetings and present financial updates as needed. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services will be advantageous
• Familiarity with Computerized Accounting System is necessary
• Proficiency in Great Plains (GPAC) will be beneficial
• Must be adept at using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting
• Demonstrated experience in handling Accounting Functions
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in formulating and managing Annual Budgets
• Expertise in Cash Flow Analysis is essential
