Robert Half Accounting Analyst in Denver, Colorado
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Denver, Colorado. The role will primarily involve managing and overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department, including bookkeeping and preparing financial statements for high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of what CPAs require to calculate quarterly estimated payments and complete timely and accurate tax returns on behalf of clients.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Process and maintain accurate customer credit records.
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.
• Maintain an intermediate understanding of partnership accounting, book vs. tax, and estate planning mechanisms.
• Handle accounts receivable/accounts payable for individuals/families and for entities (LLCs, trusts, etc.).
• Manage full cycle payroll processes.
• Conduct account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of journal entries.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
• Perform month-end close procedures and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Use accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to maintain financial data and generate reports. Requirements • A minimum of three years of experience in an accounting role, preferably at a senior level
• Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Familiarity with general ledger operations and journal entries
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in month-end close procedures
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software platforms
• Experience in bookkeeping
• Experience in managing accounts for high net worth clients
• Experience in full cycle payroll
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work with precision
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• A professional accounting certification such as CPA is advantageous.
