Description
Robert Half has partnered with an independent sponsored service company who is located in Denver in search of an Operations Accounting Manager. The company is on an acquisition spree and has acquired 9 companies in less than 4 years. The position includes a hybrid work schedule and is paying $105,000 - $115,000.
The Operations Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following:
Oversee a team of 5 direct reports and numerous indirect billers and accountants who are responsible for the companies billing throughout the entire country. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of invoicing is paramount to the success of the position and company.
Handle percentage of completion for its construction lines of business to ensure proper matching of revenue and expense.
Oversee the collections of the receivables, lead numerous weekly collection meetings, and promulgate aging reports.
Ensure cash application is processed in a timely manner.
Work with team on acquired companies and integrate into companies newly implemented ERP system (Netsuite).
Identify areas of improvement throughout the company identifying improved efficiencies and process.
Participate in the month-end close process.
Work with IT and Avalara to ensure sales tax is calculated correctly and properly submitted to appropriate governing jurisdictions.
Assist with year-end close and provide support to outside auditors.
Handle other areas such as inventory and company credit cards.
Requirements for the Operations Accounting Manager include:
Prior experience either as an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant or other relevant position.
Passion for accuracy, team building, developing a well oiled team.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field - preferred
NetSuite experience (preferred)
