Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Denver, Colorado

Description

Robert Half has partnered with a rapidly growing entertainment holding company that operates in television, film, theatrical live entertainment, interactive entertainment, entertainment software, consumer goods, hospitality, and cannabis. In addition to producing one of the most successful TV franchises of all time, the well-funded company recently kick-started new initiatives by acquiring, investing in, and bootstrapping new businesses that promise to chart the course for its next growth phase.

They are looking for an accountant who has experience with accounting for restaurants and consumer products. You’ll be part of the holding company's team, but initially will be principally doing the accounting for their restaurant business.

Who you will report to:

  • You will report directly to the Controller, who is a CPA.

Hiring process:

  • They are looking to hire someone quickly, so the hiring process is subject to change, but as of now there will be between 3-4 interviews for this position.

Salary:

  • The budgeted salary range starts at $90,000–$120,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. Total compensation will include salary, performance-based bonus, and full benefits. Total package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be highly competitive relative to market.

Remote/onsite:

  • This will primarily be a remote position. Weekly onsite visits to the restaurant may be required, so this individual must be local to the greater Denver area.

Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager:

  • Daily accounts payable, bill payments

  • Inventory management - three-way match and inventory reconciliation

  • Oversea annual inventory count

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities

  • Responsible for integration implementation and daily synch of data from POS to GL system and reconciliation between systems

  • Monthly reconciliation schedules to ensure all transactions are captured

  • Maintain accrual and cash basis financials

  • Assist with developing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • Credit card transaction reconciliation

  • Conduct various ad hoc projects as required

  • Lead contact for tax and audit documentation

  • Lead and maintain depreciation schedule, Fixed Asset system, and monthly depreciation

    Requirements

Requirements for the Accounting Manager position:

  • Full-cycle accounting experience (fixed assets and depreciation schedules, month-end close, AP, AR, accruals, reconciliations, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

  • Restaurant, hospitality, or related industry experience

  • Inventory accounting experience (there is a merch store you will be responsible for in addition to the restaurant)

  • Self-starter
