Insurance/Commercial Litigation Attorney

Our client, a leading regional law firm with a large presence in Denver is looking for a 3-plus years experienced litigation attorney who can support their insurance and coverage practice group. An ideal candidate will have experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation, including fact investigation, legal research, drafting discovery, preparing pleadings, taking and defending depositions, participating in mediations, communicating with opposing counsel and clients, and appearing in court for motions and pre-hearing proceedings. Prior law firm and insurance coverage experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials

• Admission to Colorado bar (lateral candidates from other jurisdictions will need to waive into CO or sit for the next bar exam)

• Ability to interface directly with clients

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills

• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organization skills

• Outstanding judgment

Requirements - Must possess analytical, legal research and writing skills

• Insurance Coverage experience

• Well-founded grasp of Insurance Defense Litigation

• Quality experience with Commercial Insurance

• General familiarity with Civil Litigation

• Earlier work involving Complex Commercial Litigation

• Practical knowledge of Commercial Contracts

• Proven knowledge of Insurance Defense Firm

• Insurance Carrier experience preferred

• Strong familiarity with Insurance Billing

• Wide ranging experience with Commercial Litigation

• Insurance experience

• Insurance defense experience

• Excellent oral and written communications skills

• Licensed attorney with 3+ years of experience

• Excellent academic credentials and references

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, to prioritize tasks and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent through each task performed
