Robert Half Controller in Denver, Colorado

Description We are seeking a Controller to join our team in Denver, Colorado. The Controller will play a critical role in strategic decision making and operations as they relate to the organization's financial management. This role will encompass a broad range of tasks such as financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, and development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies for the organization, including continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.

• Ensure credibility of the finance team by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.

• Supervise and direct the financial activities of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.

• Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, department budgets, and salary updates.

• Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required.

• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.

• Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.

• Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external audits.

• Collaborate with management on the development and execution of funding strategies.

• Employ effective and clear communication with all level of employees on financial matters. Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Proven experience in a Controller or similar role is essential.

• Profound knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations.

• Strong financial analysis and forecasting abilities.

• Proficiency in accounting software and other financial management tools.

• Exceptional leadership and people management skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

• High level of organization and ability to prioritize tasks.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and guide financial strategy and planning.

• Proven experience in risk management.

• Capacity to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.

• Must possess a strong ethical framework and professional integrity.

• Excellent strategic planning skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management.
