Robert Half Data Engineer in Denver, Colorado
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Data Engineer in the banking industry, located in Denver, Colorado. As a Data Engineer, you will be tasked with the responsibility of managing and organizing data, developing, testing, and maintaining architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
Responsibilities:
• Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems.
• Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
• Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts.
• Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
• Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.
• Employ a variety of languages and tools to marry systems together.
• Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Collaborate with data architects, modelers and IT team members on project goals.
• Use Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, Apache Spark, Cloud Technologies, Data Visualization, Algorithm Implementation, Analytics, Apache Hadoop, API Development, AWS Technologies for various tasks.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand objectives, deliver maximum value, and provide insightful analytics. Requirements • Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Have a deep understanding and experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark.
• Possess skills in Cloud Technologies, Data Visualization, and Algorithm Implementation.
• Have knowledge and experience in Analytics, Apache Hadoop, API Development, and AWS Technologies.
• Have a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Have the ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
• Have a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Be willing to continually learn and adapt to new technologies and tools related to data engineering.
