Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Denver, Colorado
Description Robert Half is looking for an efficient Full Charge Bookkeeper to take on an exciting job opportunity. In this role, you will carry out all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including but not limited to preparing financial statements, and establishing and preserving accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. This long-term contract / temporary to hire Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Denver, Colorado.
Major responsibilities
Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed
Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions
Supervising accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll
Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents Requirements
3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field
Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
A deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting
Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments
- Excel and QuickBooks, experience required
High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
Payroll tax experience preferred
General familiarity with Monthly Sales Tax
Solid understanding of Full Charge Bookkeeping
Well-founded grasp of Sales Tax
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Strong familiarity with Payroll Tax
Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Knowledge of Full Cycle Payroll
Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
Payroll experience preferred
