Robert Half is working with a local client that has a job opening for an IT Infrastructure Supervisor/IT Infrastructure Architect to join their team. This position requires you to serve as a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's operating systems, systems, network, and security infrastructure. Your responsibilities
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
Retain redundancy strategies, backup, and security
Survey and sample application performance for potential bottlenecks, pinpoint possible solutions, and cooperate with developers to perform those fixes
Communicate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Be actively engaged to achieve the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Maintain, test, configure, and install application software, operating systems, and system management tools
Assist in the design of information and operational support systems
Type and continue custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
Oversee and follow up on all installed systems and infrastructure
Responsible for the IT Disaster Recovery plan including regular testing of the system and documented procedures on standing up the system in the event of a disaster.
Provides hands-on Tier 3 SME support in solving technical problems and fulfilling service requests utilizing systems management tools and techniques.
Directs daily operations of the Infrastructure Team, analyzing work, establishing priorities, developing standards, setting deadlines, and following up on execution.
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Develop responses to informational and audit requests related to infrastructure and security operations.
Assist the IT Operations Manager in forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
Works with vendors in purchasing equipment and services. Coordinates with vendors on support issues and problem resolution.
Requirements
We are particularly looking for candidates who have solid networking knowledge to complement their experience with virtualization and systems engineering.

It is preferred for applicants to have solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
