Description Litigation Legal Assistant Denver

Our client, a Rocky Mountain, large law firm, is looking for a 7 plus years litigation legal secretary to join their downtown Denver office. The ideal person will have 7 plus years of experience in litigation with an emphasis on commercial litigation. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and LexisNexis. Additional experience with document revision, a good understanding of state, appellate, and federal court systems, e-filing, Worldox, DocsOpen, and a good personality are a must. Our client offers a very competitive pay, benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k + match, profit sharing, and vacation/sick/personal time off, in addition this role pays overtime for hours worked above 40 per week. · 5 plus years’ experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant in a law firm is preferred; prior experience in the assigned practice area(s) is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Initiative, flexibility, resiliency and a willingness to adapt to change.

Demonstrated knowledge of court rules, legal terminology, legal documents, and legal processes in the practice area(s) in which the Legal Assistant is employed.

Accurate typing at a net speed of at least 65 words per minute.

Strong computer proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office, Worldox, ProLaw, efiling, and database software.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated understanding of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Ability to work effectively and proactively within a team environment, including ability to interact with others in a professional and civil manner; to volunteer to assist others when available to do so; and to assist when requested and able to do so, including requests from attorneys not assigned to employee.

Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently and to meet deadlines.

Strong organization skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
