Litigation Paralegal
Our client, a leading law firm in the downtown DTC area, seeks a 2 plus years experienced litigation paralegal to join our growing team. Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification, and at least two years’ experience as a Litigation Paralegal. A successful candidate will be a team-player and feel comfortable taking the initiative and managing their cases. Paralegals are responsible for: conducting investigations; research; collecting records; preparing and filing pleadings; case management, including calendaring, assistance with expert witnesses, trial preparation and trial. The client offers a competitive salary depending on experience, 100% medical insurance premium paid by employer, 401k eligibility after 1 year with employer paid contribution regardless of employee contribution, 100% FAMLI premium payment by employer, annual wellness and technology stipends, and a congenial work environment. Requirements - Civil litigation experience desired
Well-founded grasp of Legal Pleadings
Practical knowledge of Preparing Pleadings
General familiarity with pleadings
e-Filing experience highly desired
Civil Litigation Experience experience required
Proven knowledge of Draft Pleadings
Foundational knowledge in Commercial Litigation
Proficiency in Complex Commercial Litigation
2+ years of relevant experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
Detailed, accurate, and an ability to handle confidential information
Capability to own projects, writing and negotiating, planning and organizing
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Thorough understanding of word processing and spreadsheets highly valued
