Real Estate Paralegal!!

Our client, a leading home builder is looking for a 5 plus years commercial/residential real estate paralegal. Under the supervision of in-house real estate attorneys, you will review real estate contracts, draft amendments, review title commitments and exception documents, review surveys and plats, and draft title objection letters. Tracks contract deadlines. Prepare documents for closings and coordinates completion of closings with title company personnel and various divisions. Monitor on-going compliance of transactions with company land acquisition policies. Performance of other miscellaneous assigned duties such as researching various legislation, statutes and regulations related to real estate in various jurisdictions.

BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience required. Title experience and 5 plus years experience working with transactional real estate law deals as a paralegal or for a title company required. Prior experience working with homebuilders or developers preferred. Must be able to work under pressure, multi-task and stay organized. Must be able to analyze and advise management as issues arise. Must be a team player and able to work well with division personnel, lawyers, title companies and corporate executives. The company offers excellent pay and benefits.   • Solid understanding of title real estate

  • Commercial real estate experience

  • Command of real estate law

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets highly desired

  • 7+ years of relevant commercial real estate title paralegal experience

  • Constant attention to detail and accuracy, confidentiality

  • Capable of taking ownership of projects, writing and negotiating, planning and organizing

  • Customer service oriented communication skills

  • Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
