Corporate In-House Paralegal/Legal Assistant
An international, private equity firm specializing in the mining and financial industry in downtown Denver is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to support the Legal and Compliance Teams. This role will be responsible for assisting attorneys with legal research, building contract templates, document preparation and review and other assignments assigned by the supervising attorneys and General Counsel. The position requires the performance of legal assignments with a high degree of accuracy, autonomy, and responsibility within the Legal and Compliance department. Responsibilities include managing annual & statutory filings, drafting correspondence, assisting attorneys to prepare corporate documents/materials and analyzing information and documents for missing data and complete missing items prior to attorney delivery, providing attorneys with assistance in the preparation for and closing of various corporate transactions, assisting attorneys with the completion of scheduling calls, meetings, and travel, assisting in drafting various standard and non-standard agreements, maintaining the filing system, scheduling travel and conferences, tracking attorney work-flow, tracking and monitoring the status of contracts, and developing/implementing improvements to the contract management process as necessary. Qualifications include 5 years of corporate paralegal /Corporate legal secretarial experience, Paralegal Certificate from accredited institution or equivalent work experience required, Bachelor’s degree preferred, Notary public preferred. 5 years' experience as a corporate or transactional Paralegal in the corporate or law firm environment, experience with Legal Tracker/Serengeti or similar legal billing management system, Strong analytical, organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail.
