Robert Half Revenue Accounting Manager in Denver, Colorado

Description

Robert Half has partnered with a fast growing publicly traded upstream oil & gas company in search of a Revenue Accounting Manager. This role is a growth position seeking a high potential oil & gas professional. The company is growing exponentially, and offers excellent benefits, a strong leadership team, and a great manager.

Duties Include:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of revenue accounting for the upstream oil & gas operations.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Supervisory Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of revenue accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Provide guidance and support for ongoing professional development, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet evolving challenges.

Financial Reporting:

  • Drive accurate and timely preparation of revenue-related financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insightful analysis and contribute to financial decision-making processes.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and internal policies.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to revenue recognition through proactive analysis and continuous improvement.

Process Optimization:

  • Evaluate existing revenue accounting processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and implementing best practices.

  • Streamline workflows to accommodate the company's rapid growth and evolving business landscape.

  • Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and legal, to enhance cross-functional communication and alignment.

  • Act as a key liaison between the revenue accounting team and external auditors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in upstream oil & gas accounting.

  • Recent supervisory experience, demonstrating strong leadership skills.

  • In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles within the energy industry.

  • Experience with a mid to large ERP system
