Robert Half Senior Budget Analyst in Denver, Colorado

Description We are seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This role provides a contract to hire employment opportunity and involves acting as a key contributor to our daily accounting operations and financial direction. The Senior Budget Analyst will be responsible for preparing budgets, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and executing month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in the preparation and review of annual operating budgets, monthly forecasts, and monthly variance analysis

• Conduct regular budget reviews with programs to identify potential risks and develop proactive solutions

• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required by management

• Prepare contract budgets for applications

• Handle budgeting and forecasting of expenditures and revenues to ensure sufficient cash flow and reserves

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills for budget analysis and forecasting

• Apply knowledge of Full Cycle Accounting in the execution of daily tasks

• Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial operations. Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a budget analyst role or similar is essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.

• Experience with Full Cycle Accounting is required.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Solid understanding of financial laws and regulations.

• Ability to create, review, and maintain budget reports.

• Experience in financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.

• Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.

• Proficient in the use of financial software.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to professionally and confidently communicate with C-Level Executives.
